About
I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor based in Ohio, offering person-centered, future-focused therapy with a healthy respect for the past—because sometimes the road forward runs through a few old neighborhoods. My approach is grounded in years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in both community and school-based settings. I aim to offer thoughtful, evidence-informed support tailored to each individual’s needs and context.
Outside the therapy room, I’m a father, a retired Navy officer, and a firm believer that everyone has the capacity for greatness and happiness (especially after a good sauna session). I served twenty years in the Navy, including time as Chief Engineer on two wooden-hulled ships—yes, those still exist. I’m also the kind of person who pauses movies to obsessively search for clues as to where the scenes were filmed and who wears a Belarusian sauna hat without irony. I’ve visited 23 countries, lived in three, and speak decent English, conversational German, a handful of phrases in Cantonese, Thai, and Russian, and “thank you” in just about every language I’ve ever encountered (to the best of my spotty memory's ability).
Services
I provide individual therapy for adults, adolescents, and children, addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, identity development, trauma recovery, and life transitions. I have a growing clinical focus on working with LGBTQ+ clients and Veterans, and also support individuals navigating grief, burnout, and spiritual questioning.
